Janet & Christina come to town

At the beginning of January, friends Janet & Christina flew up from LA for the weekend. Christina stayed with their cousin Jeff and Janet stayed with us. Janet & Andrea attended Karen's baby shower in Berkeley on Saturday, but most of the rest of the weekend all of us hung out together -- dining on Mexican, Californian & Japanese. Eric loved having Janet, Christina & Jeff around and was sad to see them go on Sunday evening.

Happy New Year - EST

We celebrated the arrival of 2008 at our friends Erika, Kevin & Chance's house with an East Coast New Years Party. With Chinese food, snacks, drinks and noise makers, and surrounded by a house full of kids, we toasted to the new year at 9 pm Pacific Time. Eric enjoyed watching the *numbers* count down on the TV, drinking sparkling cider and blowing his noise maker. And we had him home and in bed by 9:30...

Family time in LA

We headed down to LA the Saturday before Christmas and returned a week later. Within the week, we had Hawaiian dinner at Aunt Sherrie's, family dinner at Barry & Madge's, Christmas brunch at Aunt Sherrie's, Mongolian BBQ & American BBQ with the grandparents, breakfast with great-grandparents and a whole lot of meals in between. (We tried to meet Kellie at Tito's for lunch on Christmas Eve, but we ended up at Johnnie's instead since it was closed!) We spent quite a bit of time with both sides of the family and even got to visit with our friends Dave, Blythe, Kaya and new baby Colin. Jason & Andrea took advantage of grandparent babysitting and met up with Aaron & Julie one night and saw a movie another night.
