Aaron & Julie Visit

Aaron & Julie visited us at the beginning of November. We went out to dinner in Los Gatos on Saturday night (followed by Family Reading Time!) and to the Tech Museum on Sunday. We really enjoyed spending time with them.

Fall Festival Party

On the first Saturday of November, we attended a Fall Party for our playgroup at a local community center. The kids had tons of fun painting t-shirts, playing in the "rice & beans" table, making nature collages, fishing for magnetic fish, crawling through a pop-up tent/tunnel, decorating foam pumpkins and exploring a swimming pool full of leaves! A light lunch was catered by Aqui too. It was a great event and the perfect way to start off the party season.

Halloween 2007

As usual, Halloween started early and lasted over a week for us. On October 20 we visited the Uesugi Farm Pumpkin Patch in Morgan Hill. It was like a small city, with train rides, a carousel, hay rides, food, music, touchy-feely exhibits for the little ones and lots of pumpkins! The Friday before Halloween, we visited Nvidia for their annual Halloween party and on Saturday we went to our friends' house for a pumpkin-carving/yummy chili party. Monday was our Costume Playdate with our playgroup and on Tuesday all of the kids wore their costumes to preschool. Finally, on Wednesday, we went to our friends' Zach, Michele and Juan's for pizza and trick-or-treating. After an apprehensive start, Eric got very into collecting candy. Even though he was pooped at the end, he wasn't about to loosen his death-grip on his candy-filled plastic jack-o-lantern.

Stringing animals

I was pretty impressed to find Eric could string all of these animals onto the blue "string" by himself. It seems as though there are moments like these nearly everyday. He's so capable!
