Grandma-mah & Grandpa-pah visit

Grandma Sharon & Grandpa Harley left this morning after an extended Labor Day Weekend visit. Though their visit was quite low-key, we managed to do quite a bit while they were here. We (except Jason who was working) enjoyed the beautiful weather on Friday by picking up sushi and having a picnic lunch in Kelley Park, just outside of the Japanese Friendship Garden. After eating we went into the Garden and watched the ducks and koi -- Eric loved it! Saturday we went to check out the De Anza flea market...a typical flea market but with extra-syrupy snow cones. Eric ended up with a new pair of sandals and Grandma Sharon bought a couple of magnetic necklaces/bracelets. Eric's first train ride was on Sunday, aboard VTA Light Rail. We (except Jason who was golfing) took the train from Campbell to Downtown SJ for the Tapestry Arts Festival and stuffed ourselves silly with yummy kettle corn. To celebrate Labor Day, we went to Dim Sum, checked out a new park and then lazily lounged around home for most of the day. Eric had a great time playing with grandma & grandpa and can't wait to see them again, hopefully some time soon!
